The Pozole Route: “The Flesh of the Gods”

A ritual immersive dinner: two pre-Hispanic gods return to find out what happened to pozole and take guests through four versions, from white to red.

The story

Across four courses, guests join the gods on a culinary, historical and symbolic journey, discovering how each region transformed pozole according to its land, history and identity.

Each dish is eaten, explained, honored and questioned. In the end, the gods must decide whether modern pozole has lost its sacred character… or became immortal by living on the people's table.

How it works

The gods appear amid copal smoke and tell the sacred origin of pozole.

Then come four tastings: white pozole (ritual origin), Guerrero style, red pozole and a vegetarian version, each with its story and guest participation.

The characters

  • The god: solemn and ritual.
  • The goddess: earthier and more critical.
