The story
Arriving in the Emerald City — a night market full of aromas, spinning trompos and bubbling salsas — Dorothy discovers that the real power isn't in the shoes, but in the taco.
Along the Yellow Tortilla Road she learns that Mexican food isn't just eaten: it's honored, respected and eaten standing up. Each taco reveals part of Mexican identity: al pastor (mestizaje and migration), suadero (the persistence of the street stand), canasta (the traveling, working-class taco), tripa (the trial by fire) and cabeza (respect for the animal and for tradition).
How it works
Each taco comes with a short historical introduction, its cultural meaning and the unwritten rules of eating it right, with optional pairing of agua fresca, glass-bottle soda or beer.
In the “Click Your Heels” activity, guests learn the proper stance for eating tacos standing up.
