Immersive Mexican Folk Ballet in Mexico City

Mexican folk and contemporary dance all around you: pre-Hispanic legends and regional festivals told without seats. Private and public performances.

What makes it different

In a traditional ballet folklórico the audience watches from their seats. In our immersive format there's no fourth wall: the whole space is the stage, dancers invite you to move with the story and, at some moments, to join a son or a group dance.

Stories we tell

  • Xochiquétzal: the legend of the goddess of flowers, beauty and love.
  • Journey to Mictlán: the soul's journey in Mexica tradition — perfect for Day of the Dead season.
  • Festival of regions: sones from Veracruz, jarabes from Jalisco, dances from Michoacán and huapangos from the Huasteca.
  • Two worlds meet: pre-Hispanic and colonial baroque dance in dialogue.

Production

Traditional costumes, live or recorded music depending on the format, stage lighting and a bilingual narrator who gives context to every scene. We adapt to indoor and outdoor spaces.

For locals too

The legends and sones Mexicans grow up with feel completely different when the dance happens all around you. The immersive ballet is a way to reconnect with traditions from different regions of the country and share them with family, friends or colleagues.

History and culture in every scene

In all our experiences, the hosts' dialogue and the event's activities are written with real information about Mexican history and culture: the origin of the food and drinks, historical figures and events, and the meaning of legends and traditions. You have fun and, without noticing, you learn.
