The Mariachi's Song: A Guadalajara Feast

A Jalisco feast of birria, tortas ahogadas and carne en su jugo: the mariachi's singer has vanished, and guests compete to become the new lead vocalist.

The story

The manager is beside himself — the band was supposed to play all afternoon.

The solution: find a new singer among the guests… though the tests won't only be about singing.

How it works

A musical casting with all kinds of challenges. The manager, the trumpeter and the audience choose the new singer.

All amid a Guadalajara feast: birria, tortas ahogadas, carne en su jugo and jericalla custard.

The characters

  • The Manager: desperate and dramatic.
  • The Trumpeter: demanding but kind-hearted.

History and culture in every scene

As in all our experiences, the hosts' dialogue and the event's activities are written with real information about Mexican history and culture. You have fun and, without even noticing, you learn. Behind the humor there's culture: the dialogue explains the Mexican customs, traditions and characters that inspire the satire.
