The Fire Coven: A Salsa Tasting with a Mystery

A salsa tasting show: a purification rite goes wrong and guests will lose their sense of taste unless they decode the chant that breaks the curse.

The story

The evening promised to be an unforgettable food experience. Now it's a race against the curse.

Luckily, the healer's granddaughter remembers that the spell can be broken by singing the right chant… except nobody knows which one.

How it works

Guests work as a team to find riddles hidden under their plates and decode, piece by piece, the chant that will save them.

Meanwhile they taste the “remedies”: a tasting of Mexican salsas with a base food — such as tacos — to go with them.

The characters

  • The Healer: mysterious and powerful; her ritual got out of hand.
  • The Granddaughter: the only one who remembers how to break the curse.

What's included

  • Theatrical show with two hosts
  • Salsa tasting with a base food
  • Riddles hidden at the table
  • Team puzzle-solving activity

What you take home

  • Getting to know Mexican salsas and their history
  • Teamwork under pressure (and heat)
  • Getting your sense of taste back… and wanting to come again

History and culture in every scene

As in all our experiences, the hosts' dialogue and the event's activities are written with real information about Mexican history and culture. You have fun and, without even noticing, you learn. Every dish arrives with its story: where it comes from, how it's made and what it says about the region and era that created it.

Format and customization

“The Fire Coven” is one of our Mexican food tastings productions. We can adapt it to your venue, group size, menu and language, as a private event or on dates open to the public.
